Mt Victoria Poem I

the bungalows are bathed in late afternoon love
the sun is the best seductrix
she is warm, enveloping and reasonably predictable
the somnolence and the sofa
& all that is missing is you
there is comfort in the wooden grandeur of the architecture
solace in the golden silence of autumn's afternoon
